Ramsey is a famous British chef, restaurateur, and TV personality. Beginning from TV, he has become one of the most famous chefs in the world. He has hosted shows such as the British series Hell’s Kitchen, The F Word, and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. He has also hosted American versions of Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, and Hotel Hell. He was the 21st richest celebrity in 2015 according to Forbes.
Ramsay is known for his temper, strict demeanor, and frequent use of nasty words for both the food and the chef making it. Ramsay can be frequently seen making wisecracks and insults at the contestants on his reality shows. The man hardly seems to have any filter and that is not only limited to his reality show, but also his Twitter account. People usually tweet Gordon a picture of the food (they prepared or are going to eat) and ask for his views. Gordon, in his usual manner, usually replies with not so praiseworthy words. It has become common practice.

But recently an Indian man, anRameez tweeted Ramsey a picture of a South Indian dish (Medu Vada with sambhar and white coconut chutney). Medu vada is a famous South Indian dish which is eaten all over India. Medu vadas are donut shaped dumplings made of spiced lentil batter. It is served with lentil curry (Sambhar) and pulped coconut mixed with green chilies and spices (white coconut chutney).
Gordon replied with this sarcastic tweet.
I didn't know you can tweet from prison https://t.co/rxrPPBonff

Apparently, Gordon was making a wisecrack at the steel plate in which the food was served. But Indians took it to heart and a volley of tweets followed in defense:
@GordonRamsay The food looks normal plate of Vada, Sambar and chutney. Unless you mean normal Indian food is only good for prison.

@GordonRamsay If you know how it tastes, you'll either learn how to cook it or commit a crime to get into that prison.

@GordonRamsay Well at least this prison food tastes a lot better than your half cooked steak😑

Well Twitterati, Gordon has even insulted girl scout cookies!
So, let him say what he wants to say. In the meantime, I am going to get myself a plate of Medu Vada with Sambhar and Nariyal Chatni (it’s my favorite South Indian dish so far!).
