Lakme Fashion Week Sets The Bar High!

Do you love watching latest fashion trends and clothing design? Are you a big fan of fashion shows? If yes, then we are sure you must have watched the Lakme Fashion Week, 2018 which was held from Jan 31st – Feb 4th and must be as blown by it as we were.

We still can’t stop drooling over all those celebrities adorned with the most beautiful pieces ever!

If you are getting married this summer then you definitely need to check out Anita Dongre’s Summer Bridal Collection, which was featured on the first day of the Lakme Fashion Week and displayed some really beautiful dresses in a palette of pale pinks, baby blues, whites, and so on. The dresses were elegant, delicate and downright dreamy.

However, do you know who the show stopper was for the day was? Guess? It was none other than the Bollywood’s dreamy couple Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput. Shahid wore a layered white sherwani but it was Mira who stole the show with her white lehenga adorned with pink and blue embroidery. They really gave it a fairytale come true kind of a feeling.

Day two brought some North East Indian designs and stories with Richana Kumanthem who won our hearts with her textile tales and tissues. Her collection included bell-sleeved tunics, skirts, and dresses, most made from cotton of local textile shops. Overall, we loved the look of Northeast India and it was a welcome change from the normal clothes that are often displayed at the fashion shows.

Day three of the Lakme Fashion Week, saw some famous Bollywood A-listers gracing the platform with their charm and attitude and presenting to us some amazing works by the fashion designers. We especially loved Sonakshi Sinha’s dress from Falguni Shane’s Peacock collection and she looked both elegant and chic. However, Karan Johar certainly stole the show from Sonakshi by adorning another amazing design from Falguni Shane’s Peacock collection and rocking his grey streaks in style.

Also, how hot did Kunal Kapoor look in Ritu Kuma’s design? We literally can’t stop swooning about him.

And did you see Kalki Koechlin? What a beautifully contemporary lehenga! We seriously can’t look away from this beautiful off-shouldered ivory lehenga designed by Jade.

The grand finale was a seriously star-studded event with Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Sridevi and her daughter adding to the glamour quotient.
