Macy’s To Go Hijabi Post Valentine’s Day!

Macy’s has always been a very popular brand but now it has become a much-admired brand with its retail partnership with Verona Collection, which focusses on modern-day Islamic apparel. It is for the first time that one of the major American retailer’s is launching a fashion brand dedicated to Muslims. This surely is a relief for many Islamic women out there.
Verona Collection is an Islamic Boutique and confirms to the individuality of women across the world by letting them express their uniqueness and also gives a confidence boost to them. This boutique is the brainchild of Lisa Vogl who launched it in the February 2015 owing to the struggles faced by Muslim women to find modest, stylish and affordable attire. They instantly found success as their fashion line was extremely sophisticated and also pocket-friendly.
This collection will now be launched on Macy’s website after February 15th and will have the most modest and fashion-forward attires for all women. You can expect hijabs as well as abayas, modest tops and dresses and pants.
The team Verona has showcased their work through “The Workshop at Macy’s,” which is a business development program and focusses on supporting women and their ventures.
Many big brands are reaching out to more and more Islamic consumers. Recently, Nike launched a hijab especially for Muslim athletes, and though it was a test launch still it created waves across the world. Luxury brands like Dolce & Gabbana have also designed hijabs and abayas from their signature fabrics.
Talking about the mainstream fashion industry of the US, there was not really much scope for creating a specifically Muslim friendly clothing line. Having said that, this is a great initiative by Verona Collection and Macy’s towards nurturing and supporting women and also means giving them wings to fly.
Happy shopping ladies!!
