Dinesh D’Souza – What Were You Thinking!!!

We all are aware of Dinesh D’souza, the famous South Asian scholar, writer, public intellectual, and a filmmaker who has created some fabulous documentaries. Indeed India was really proud of his achievements as he was born in Mumbai and as an exchange student completed his graduation as Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College. Well up until now…
As much as he was hailed as a scholar and a New York Times bestselling author, who has penned numerous books on the political climate of America, he has let down South Asians. His heartless and inconsiderate tweets when the news about Florida lawmakers voting down a ban on assault weapons made rounds after the tragic shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, where 17 innocent people were killed on February 14th, 2018.
D’Souza shared a photo showing the horrified survivors and unsympathetically captioned it with “Worst news since their parents told them to get summer jobs.”

Even more heart wrenching was the tweet that followed up the previous one wherein he callously wrote “Adults 1, kids 0.” This tweet was met with strong condemnation worldwide as this stone-hearted person seemed completely unaffected by the savage incident and instead dared to indulge in the mockery of such an event.

People referred him as a “trash human being,” a “human dung beetle,” and “jailbird little creep” on Twitter as a reply to his tweets that evoked mass fury among people across the globe. He was stooped down to lowest level publicly.
I support 2A and gun rights. This jailbird little creep is beneath contempt. No words. None. https://t.co/zpCgpbrw0O

dinesh d’souza has no humanity.
How evil do you have to be to tweet this about kids who got shot at in school less than a week ago. pic.twitter.com/MkwkJNYs1i

South Asians hang their heads in shame to associate themselves with a person who truly had no sense of how to react to an incident that has saddened the country and the world and left the citizens completely frightened. The parents of the survivors are numb with fright; the families of the people who died are grief-stricken; the world stays shocked after witnessing such a heart-numbing incident. Indeed, such an act by a world-renowned personality is a humiliation to humanity!
Protests for stronger gun laws were held and the government was demanded to take immediate and effective action in order to prevent another such mishap and do everything possible to ensure the safety of students.
The embarrassing Tweets by Dinesh D’Souza, whom America held in high honor and respected for his brilliance in every field he explored, and his insensitive attitude exhibits the definite decline in human values that South Asians, especially Indians, are known for.
