The Hindi film industry has been producing thought-provoking, yet entertaining storylines and has garnered a huge number of fans in the US both Indian and non-Indians. 1. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017)

2.  Dangal (2016)

3. Padmavaat (2018)

This epic drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was one of the most controversial Bollywood movies of his career, but it grossed over $12.1 million in the US. Set in Rajasthan, this story of love, lust, and power seems to have struck a chord with the audience. The superb picturization and direction of Bhansali have always been commendable.

4. PK (2014)

Director S.S. Rajamouli’s foray into this fantastical drama was compared to the Game of Thrones and it really caught the imagination of millions around the world. At $8.46 million, this movie was a revelation from India.

6. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)
