Irrfan Khan On Battling Neuroendocrine Tumor & Shah Rukh Khan’s Helping Hand
Indian actor, Irrfan Khan, one of the most widely loved actors has confirmed that he has surrendered to his battle with “a rare” tumor that is slowly engulfing him day by day. He has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with a high-grade neuroendocrine tumor, which sadly does not have a complete cure yet. This cancer apparently affects the hormonal and nervous system and he had been taking treatment in London from the time he was diagnosed in March this year. This had been his first tweet to the world, disclosing about his rare disease.

The actor also tweeted about how difficult it has been for him to battle with the disease, yet the love and faith from his dear ones keep him going.

“The suddenness made me realize how you are just a cork floating in the ocean with unpredictable currents! And you are desperately trying to control it,” he said in an interview with an online website. Not just him, even his fans world over were shocked to hear about this rare type of cancer that he has fallen a victim to and hope and pray for his speedy recovery.
Ringing true the belief that Bollywood takes care of its own, SpotboyE has reported that Shah Rukh Khan made sure that Irrfan Khan’s stay in London during his treatment was comfortable by lending Irrfan’s family the keys to his London home. A friend in need, indeed!
As an artist, an actor, Irrfan Khan has never once failed to entertain his fans with the kind of cinema he chose to be a part of. Not just Bollywood, Irrfan Khan has acted in several Hollywood movies too and has always shone as one of the finest actors of this era.
The actor is trying hard not to let “fear and panic” consume him and is diligently taking treatment in London. Irrfan Khan’s battle has been so difficult that even though the hospital where he is being treated is right across the Lord’s Stadium, the pain and exhaustion did not allow him to even register the existence of the place of his childhood dreams, let alone visit it.
The actor’s next flick Karwaan, co-starring Dulquer Salman and Mithila Palkar will hit theaters on August 10th and he wishes the team the best.
