The latest Punjabi song from Royal Music Gang and Opinder Dhaliwal ‘No Entry’ featuring singer Sunny Patwalia, with music by Deep Jandu and lyrics penned by Karan Aujla, is our this week’s Tune-in-Tuesdays.
Deep Jandu aka Deepjot Singh, the singing sensation from Canada, is both a vocalist and a music director and is known for collaborating with new singers and providing platforms to upcoming artists. He started his career at the age of 14 when he performed with a local bhangra team ‘Sonay Gabroo Punjab De’ and realized that he could sing. He received his training in vocals from the famous Ustad Jagdish Singh and focuses mostly on Punjabi Folk and traditional music.
Sunny Patwalia is a New York based artist. His first song collab with Jandu was in June 2018 with ‘Ferrari For You’ and they seem to have made the right impact to star once again together in the latest song ‘No Entry’.
The writer, Karan Aujla, is an Indian singer, and lyricist, whose first song as a lyricist ‘Range’ (sung by Jassie Gill) came out when he was studying in the 9th grade. He hasn’t looked back and today rules the hearts of thousands of his fans.
A different vibe than ‘Ferrari For You’, ‘No Entry’ is Punjabi ‘gangsta’ meets “Godfather”! The comparison may seem heavy because there sure are no Marlon Brando’s or Al Pacino’s here. But put them in a contemporary, Punjabi gang style video and it does the trick.
Deep Jandu is on point, both as a rapper and for his beats. Sunny Patwalia is a singer with swag, perfect for this character and we hope to see him do even more in the future. Lyrically Karan Aujla will keep you locked with his catchy hook and verses.
