Fox Star Studios has released the full trailer for the highly anticipated upcoming film, “Kalank” and it is just too phenomenal for words!
Starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit, this epic tale about forbidden love entangling all the characters in a dark plot during the tensions of partition. The trailer is full of secrets and suspense, like why does Dev marry Roop when he loves Satya? And what is the story between Bahaar Begum and Balraj Chaudhury?

Set in 1945, a pre-Independence India, the historic features of the film are a must see. Producer Karan Johar revealed that “Kalank” is a project close to his heart because it was begun by his father, Yash Johar, almost 15 years ago. Yash Johar even visited Pakistan so he could pick up on the for some in-depth research so he could accurately pick up the nuances and details of the country and its culture.
The songs released from the film alone have already created a buzz. Many are comparing the aesthetic style of the film to the style of films like “Saawariya” and “Devdas” by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The all-star cast has an abundance of talent and fans are excited to see Dutt and Dixit-Nene back on screen together.
“Kalank” is also produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta, and co-produced by Fox Star Studios. Directed and written by Abhishek Varman, the film is set to be the biggest release of the year.
