The lovely Jonita Gandhi is back with a fun new track! Featuring the talented Arjuna Harjai, ‘Humraahi’ is a sweet track about conquering the world with the power of friendship by your side. Made with love, it’s no surprise why this single is our Tune-in-Tuesdays track of the week!
‘Humraahi’ is a tribute to keeping friends close to your heart on this journey of life no matter how close or far you may physically be. The sweet lyrics were written by X-Factor India’s season 1 winner, Geet Sagar. Sagar was the winner of X-Factor India and has worked on tracks like ‘Khaana Khake’ from the film “Jagga Jasoos” and ‘Dramebaaz’ from the film “Nautanki Saala.”
The vocals on the track are by Gandhi and Harjai.
Harjai worked triple duty as the music director and producer of the single as well. The music video is full of joy, positivity, and a whole lot of imaginative ways to stay connected to your best friends even when you are miles apart.
“Sometimes life throws us lemons, but that’s okay because who doesn’t love lemonade?” writes Gandhi on her YouTube page. “A little bit of imagination and some good vibes can make for the best memories! ‘Humraahi’ is a fun song about a journey of self-discovery, letting go & shooting for the stars—all with the support of one of your best buds.”
Gandhi made her break on YouTube and has been rapidly taking India by storm with her melodious voice. The Canadian diva has gone from the YouTube screen to the IIFA stage with hit Bollywood film soundtracks under her belt in just a few short years. With an honors degree in business she turned her sights on her music career as a full time recording artist and performer.
She debuted with the title track of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s romantic comedy “Chennai Express.” She has created music for Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Malyalam, and Kannada language films. She has also toured with legends like A. R. Rahman, Pritam, Sonu Nigaam, and Amit Trivedi. She has given the industry hits like ‘The Break Up Song’ from “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” and ‘Dil Ka Telephone’ from the recent release, “Dream Girl.”
