The new trailer for Deepika Padukone’s next film “Chhapaak” has now been viewed more times on YouTube than the new “Wonder Woman” trailer, and in a fraction of the time. “Chhapaak” has generated over 13 million views in the first 12 hours surpassing the 12.8 million views for “Wonder Woman 1984” in its first 48 hours.
Watch the new trailer for “Chhapaak” here:
Malti (Deepika Padukone) was attacked with acid on a street in New Delhi, in 2005. Through her story, the film makes an attempt to understand the on-ground consequences of surviving an acid attack in India, the medico-legal-social state of affairs that transpires after the acid has been hurled and the face is irreparably burnt.
Deepika Padukone returns to the big screen in her much-anticipated new film “Chhapaak” which has just launched its theatrical trailer. Based on a true story, the film is directed by Meghna Gulzar following her acclaimed blockbuster “Raazi,” and opens across North American theaters kicking off the 2020 movie season on January 10th.
Sharing the trailer of the movie on her social media, Padukone wrote, “Rarely do you come across a story where you do not need an entire narration to decide if you want to be a part of a film or not. What is even more rare is to not be able to articulate and put into words what you feel for the film and it’s journey… “Chhapaak” is all of that and more for me…”

Not competent enough to sit idle and stare as the world goes by, Pallavi is optimistic to a fault and believes in building her world on her own rather than depending on others to make things right.
