This December we have some good music to wrap-up 2019. From urban desi dance music to sweet and innocent Hindi love songs, there is something for everyone on this month’s playlist. (In no particular order.)
1. Mumzy Stranger, Nish, and LYAN release ‘Hold Up/Naamta Jani Na’
These Bengali British artists join forces once again to drop another hit with ‘Hold Up.’ With lyrics in English and Bengali and an island-inspired beat, Mumzy Stranger, Nish, and producer LYAN have wrapped 2019 with a track that you will still be singing in 2020.
2. ARKO featuring Ankit Tiwari and Ragini Tandon release ‘Baashinda’
This Gaana original tells a sweet and fun love story sung by phenomenal artists ARKO, Ankit Tiwari, and Ragini Tandon. ‘Baashinda’ is full of innocence, love, and joy. This simple love story stars Niti Taylor and Dipesh Kashyap as the lead pair who are laughing their way into the hearts of viewers.
3. Pav Dharia ft. Raxstar and Manav Sangha in ‘Billo’
Pav Dharia is just as much a comedian as he is an actor. His witty comments and hilarious music videos are proof of this artist’s fun-loving personality. He teams up with good friend Raxstar and Manav Sangha for this fun track with a silly video to match. Check this one for these adorable artists!
4. Arijit Singh’s ‘Raanjhana’
Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh released this romantic track this December that is a whole Bollywood film in 6 minutes. Starring Priyank Sharmaa and Hina Khan, the music video tells a love story that spans generations and lifetimes.
5. Sunanda releases ‘Duji Vaar Pyar’
Sunanda Sharma takes on the challenges of falling in love for a second time with the same person in ‘Duji Vaar Pyar.’ This soft romantic Gaana original was written by Jaani with music by Sukh-E. The touching song as a music video portrays a Romeo and Juliet style love story.
6. Tedi Pagg and Simar Panag ft. Mickey Singh release ‘Tu Hi Das De’
Urban desi artist Mickey Singh teams up with Punjabi artist Simar Panag for a soulful ballad. Panag not only sang the song but also wrote it as well, and the music was by Tedi Pagg.
7. Krewella and Nucleya team up for ‘Good on You’
Punjabi American sisters Krewella have been killing it in the EDM world and now during their tour of India, they have teamed up with India’s EDM pioneer, Nucleya. The trio has performed together in India and this December they released a killer new track titled ‘Good on You.’ Shot in the streets and rooftops of India the video features some unique fusion fashion that you can’t miss.
8. Deep Jandu and DIVINE go from ‘Bombay to Punjab’
Canadian Punjabi artist Deep Jandu heads to India for his latest track. The single is a collaboration with Indian hip-hop artist, DIVINE, an artist that has been changing the Indian hip-hop music scene from the start.
9. Jasmine Sandlas and Dr. Zeus collab for ‘Nagni’
Jasmine Sandlas brings the sexy in this collaboration with Dr. Zeus. ‘Nagni’ was written by Mandeep Maavi with music by Dr. Zeus.
