The Grammys 2020 sure was a teary affair with performers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles taking the stage below the retired jerseys of Kobe Bryant, who was killed in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter earlier in the day. But the night also included triumphs for first-time Grammy winners like Lizzo, who kicked off the show with a jubilant performance, and Billie Eilish, who swept the big four categories for the first time since Christopher Cross in 1981.
But we were elated to see the desi girls own the red carpet with swag and standing tall along with the who’s who of the industry. Check them out right here:
Priyanka Chopra
For the Grammys 2020, she opted for a floor-length white Ralph and Russo embellished gown with tassels and a neckline that plunged beneath her navel. The limelight followed power couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas on the Grammys 2020 red carpet as they made a head-turning entry for the 62nd edition of music’s biggest awards night. Known for their red carpet PDA, they sure lived up to the hype and shared a few loved-up moments, making the flashbulbs pop incessantly. Now, Priyanka’s gown with a plunging neck-line deserves a special mention here, which she styled with a sleek and neat hairdo and some sparkling earrings. In an unusual move, PC also accessorized with a crystal stud on her belly button. No words. We like.
Lilly Singh
YouTube creator-turned-host of “A Little Late With Lilly Singh,” showed up wearing a lime green silk gown by Lebanese designer Georges Chakra, along with lime green Stuart Weitzman heels, and a clear Marzook clutch packed with, yes, real Skittles — adding a sweet little rainbow pop to her look. was pictured sharing the sweets straight from her clutch with photographers and reporters who were lined up at the Grammys red carpet. In another post on her Instagram Story, Singh shared a video of herself giving Skittles to the red-carpet reporters, writing: “Sharing is caring.”
Jameela Jamil
Jameela Jamil arrived at the Grammys 2020 looking every inch the style icon. The actress impressed in her gorgeous Georges Chakra masterpiece, which featured metallic blue panels and a mesh-insert skirt paired with a pair of boots from ASOS. It’s a unique look, but Jameela proves that a statement gown never goes out of style.
Liza Koshy
She wore a fun zebra print dress. The 23-year-old actress and YouTube personality stepped out for her first Grammys to support host Alicia Keys, who is a producer on Koshy‘s upcoming Netflix movie “Work It,” which also stars Sabrina Carpenter, Jordan Fisher, and Keiynan Lonsdale. The movie will be released this summer.

Not competent enough to sit idle and stare as the world goes by, Pallavi is optimistic to a fault and believes in building her world on her own rather than depending on others to make things right.
