First Look With Neha – “Four More Shots Please!” (Season 2)

four more shots please

After the success of its first season in 2019, “Four More Shots Please!” is back with a stronger and sassier season. With the same fiery ‘bring-it-on’ attitude, the four female leads take on new challenges in their lives, career, relationships, and friendship.

Much like the first season, this one too revolves around sex, alcohol, and gossip, but it also shows the girls growing up in a way and grabbing responsibility by the horns. Be it publishing a book, becoming a stand-up comedian, quitting an undervaluing job, or committing to a long-term relationship with someone who needs constant care and attention.

Nicknamed the “desi version” of “Sex and the City” (SATC), “Four More Shots Please!” has everything you would expect – feminism, equality, women’s liberation – you name it. Living life on their own terms, Anjana “Anj” Menon (Kirti Kulhari), Damini “Dee” Rizvi-Roy (Sayani Gupta), Umang “Mangs” Singh (Gurbani Judge) and Siddhi “Sids” Patel (Maanvi Gagroo) each goes through an emotional roller coaster while always being there for each other.

Season 2 is hot and glamorous as ever with perfect hair, makeup, clothes, nails, and high heels, not to mention the extremely good-looking men and women. (And yes ladies, you do get to see much more of the heartthrob Milind Soman in this season!)

But in this story of four friends, there is a touch of reality which we can all relate to. Their friendship grows stronger despite the turmoil each one has to deal with – this serves as a sweet reminder of the true friendships we all have in our own lives. Picking each other up when down, having each other’s back even through disagreements, and standing up for one another in times of difficulty are just a few ways Anj, Dee, Mangs, and Sids make us believe that nothing can come in the way of their friendship.

The season ends with a spectacular palatial wedding in Udaipur and adds a nice nostalgic touch where Lisa Ray dances to a remake of her old hit song ‘Rang Rang Mein’ from “Bollywood Hollywood.” With lots of drama, love, lust, and heartbreak, season 2 of “Four More Shots Please!” is a much-needed escape from reality – and boy, don’t we all need one right now…!
