Whip It Up Wednesdays – Shweta’s Chilli Garlic Maggi

No matter where you may be, from dorm life to life in quarantine Maggi has always been a lifesaver. This Whip-it-up-Wednesdays, we bring it to you with a twist – when you want to make a simple dish exotic!

These Indian ramen noodles, easily found in Indian grocery stores are loved by everyone, be it kids or adults. Whenever we are in a hurry or too lazy to cook, Maggi noodles are our lifesaver but simple Maggi can sometimes be boring. So we love to experiment with Maggi noodles in lots of ways like with egg, cheese, chicken, vegetables, and many more. In this recipe, I am using some sauces and vegetables along with garlic.

Preparation Time: 5 – 7 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 to 20 minutes
Yield: 3 servings (3 Quarter Plates)

Ingredients:

Maggi1. One big onion (finely chopped)
2. Five garlic cloves (finely chopped)
3. One medium-sized tomato (finely chopped)
4. One and a half medium size bell pepper (finely chopped)
5. Three green chilies (finely chopped)
6. Three tablespoon butter
7. Two teaspoons green chilli sauce
8. One and a half teaspoon soya sauce
9. One and a half teaspoon vinegar
10. Three Maggi noodles cake
11. Water (to boil Maggi)
12. Salt to taste
13. Quarter teaspoon black pepper
14. Half cup water to cook

Instructions:

1. Take a saucepan and add water(5-6 cups) in it
2. Add half teaspoon salt and Maggi noodles
3. Once water is boiled and Maggi noodles are 90 percent cooked, drain the extra water from Maggi using a strainer
4. Pour some cold water in a strainer so that noodles don’t stick
5. Take a large saucepan on a medium flame and add butter in it
6. After 30 seconds add garlic and stir fry for 1 minute
7. Add onions and saute till onions are soft and golden brown in color

8. Add tomato and stir until it starts releasing water
9. Add bell pepper and stir fry for 2 minutes or until 90 percent cooked
10. Add vinegar, mix well and cook for 2 minutes
11. Add tastemaker and mix well
12. Add boiled noodles and green chilies

13. Add green chilli sauce, soya sauce and red chilli sauce
14. Add salt as per taste, black pepper and mix well
15. Add half cup water in the pan and mix well
15. Cook for 2 more minutes with an open lid and then turn off the stove
16. Serve hot

Tips:

1. While boiling Maggi noodle keep in mind, not to cook100 percent
2. After straining the Maggi noodles, run some cold water through it so that Maggi noodles do not stick
3. If you like spicy Maggi, add half red chilli powder
4. Garnish with your favorite seasoning
