Baked Chicken Nuggets – No One Can Eat Just One!

Chicken Nuggets are a very popular fast food loved by all, be it kids or adults. But how do we make them healthier? Simple – these homemade Baked Chicken Nuggets are not only yummy but healthier than the fried ones. These are juicy and tender inside with a crispy crust and are the perfect finger food for parties or any relaxed evening snack.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 -30 minutes
Yield: Two servings
Ingredients
- One pound boneless chicken (cleaned/washed and cut into pieces)
- One cup breadcrumbs
- Two teaspoons dry onion powder
- One teaspoon of dry garlic powder
- One teaspoon of red chili flakes
- Half a teaspoon of black peppercorn powder
- One teaspoon of all-purpose seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Two eggs
- Half cup cornflour
- Two tablespoons of oil
Instructions
- Whisk two eggs in a bowl
- Take breadcrumbs in another bowl and add salt, dry onion and garlic powder, red chilli flakes, black peppercorn powder, all-purpose seasoning, and mix well
- Take cornflour in a plate
- Prepare the baking tray by placing baking paper over it then spray some oil all over
- Take a piece of chicken and first place it in cornflour, then dip in the egg and in the last step roll in the breadcrumbs mixture
- Set it on the baking tray and spray some oil
- Repeat step 5 and step 6 for the remaining pieces of chicken
- Pre-heat the oven at 400 F
- Once heated, keep your tray in the oven and bake for 15 minutes
- Flip the sides and bake for 15 more minutes
- Check one piece if cooked else can bake for 5 more minutes
- Switch off the oven, remove your tray and serve hot
Tips
- Try to cut chicken pieces into equal size so that they take uniform time to cook
