DissDash Presents Tune-in-Tuesdays With Monty Kataria | Episode 2

On today’s Tune-in-Tuesdays we look at some music video tidbits from the world of Bollywood, urban desi, and the global South Asian independent scene all creatively curated just for you! We talk about the music, the artist, some technicalities and help you judge for yourself whether you really need to give it your time on Youtube or not.

  1. ‘3:59 AM’ – DIVINE Prod. by Stunnah Beatz

Divine’s latest feature is off of his latest album – Punya Paap with Mass Appeal India under Universal.

3:59 is produced by Stunnah Beatz – fade out of the track – DOPE! Make sure you listen/watch till the end.

Bombay ka Galli waala swag fused with that east coast Brooklyn vibe – this whole album- PUNYA PAAP is a LEVEL UP in the desi Hip Hop scene.

Bars Like:

“Kalam mera hindu muslim ko milaata hai

hindi mein verse mera poore Punjab ko hilata hai”

We give 3:59 by Divine x stunnah beatz 4 winks

Watch the official video on Mass Appeal India’s Youtube channel!

2. ‘Sufi’ – Raghav

The Audio Track to Raghav’s Sufi was released back in May but the Official music Video just released last week – but what is all worth the wait!?

Sufi is beautifully written and composed by Akshay Shinde and Mr. Angel Eyes has performed this self-produced track – exceptionally.

Nisha Jacobs is a natural in front of the camera and looks absolutely stunning!

We give this gem of a song 4 winks and you should definitely check it out on Jio Saavn’s official youtube channel.

3. ‘Bad Girl’ by Sickick

If you like AR Rahman’s Dil Se or Biggie’s Hypnotize – you will LOVE Bad Girl by Sickick.

Bad Girl is the final track off of Canadian producer and singer’s latest album – TalkSick 4.

This video is a complete advertisement for Sickick merch and it def. Works – peep his merch at including, masks – medical and Sickick and Tshirts, hoodies and hats.

We give this BAD GIRL 4.5 winks – half extra for great promo work in addition to dope production and you should definitely check it out on Sickick’s official youtube channel.

4. ‘Fitrat’ by Suyyash Rai

Currently, a trending track on YouTube India – Fitrat – performed by Indian TV actor Suyyash Rai is actually a very soothing joint.

Fitrat is released under the Indie Music Label and stars Divya Aggarwal.

Scenic mountains, rides on the Royal Enfield, dreadlocks, guitars – you name it – this music video has it all – yes, exactly – we have seen that a few times already in the past – haven’t we?

But the audio overall is a winner and you should def. Listen to it – you don’t need to watch it 🙂

We give Fitrat a total of 3.5 winks and you can find the official video on Indie Music Label’s Official youtube channel.

5. ‘Kamaal Karte Ho’ by Afsana Khan

We last heard this voice on Hardy Sandhu’s Titliyaan – she killed it on the vocals then and she murders it this time – big shouts to Afsana Khan.

I will be a 100 on this – I am not a big fan of the over the top acting by Paras Chhabra & Mahira Sharma and seen in similar videos as well but Miss Khan saves the day and a few more.

Gold boy’s represents decent music and somebody please have a conversation with their stylist. Please.

We give Kamaal Karte a total of 3 winks – watch the official video on HSR Entertainment’s youtube channel.

In light of the recent farmer protests that are happening in India at this time – we want to share 2 very special music videos that have been released in the past few days in accordance with and support of the Kisan Movement.

This is not just a Delhi/Punjab/Haryana or India movement – it is a global movement.

Shoutouts to Indian American singer/songwriter G Sidhu and Indian-Canadia Prince of Bhangra Jazzy B – have released Kisaan Sun de and Bagawatan respectively.

‘Kisaan Sun De’ by G Sidhu

‘Bagawatan’ by Jazzy B
