On today’s Tune-in-Tuesdays we look at some music video tidbits from the world of Bollywood, urban desi, and the global South Asian independent scene all creatively curated just for you! We talk about the music, the artist, some technicalities and help you judge for yourself whether you really need to give it your time on Youtube or not.

1. Neha Kakkar – Khayaal Rakhya Kar

“Tu Trump de Warga Hai – Main Obame vargi haa” Why oh Why Neha Kakkar ji – Aisa kyon karte ho aap?! I mean we can barely get our politics correct – why take it all the way to the west? Overall – the track does build on you. Neha has a beautiful voice and the fact that she and RohanPreet are now actually married in real life – the song (in some weird way) is slightly believable. While love does not have any age – the relationship shown in the second half of the video looks more real than the first one but nonetheless – cutesy adorable song – video comes a full 360 and makes you smile 🙂 Fun Fact: This is the “second” version or the female response version of the original Khayal Rakhya Kar by Preetinder and Babbu released about 6 months ago. 2. LOKA | TRIP MAT KAR | PROD. BY AAKASH

Forward to the 2-minute mark for the actual track to start. The intro video is a complicated discussion of having an OG trip and finding out where AAKASH is. Aakash is the main man behind some of Loka’s boggles latest hits and he doesn’t seem to disappoint in terms of the music, production, mixing, and mastering this time around at all. 3. Kanika Kapoor – Jugni 2.0 feat. Mumzy Stranger x DJ LYAN

See even if it is a remake of a remake it’s such a positive vibe to see the UK fam of Kanika Kapoor and the OG MUMZY stranger alongside DJ LAYAAN come together for Jugni 2.0 Kanika keeps the flavor of the original alive and Mumzy keeps it real with exactly what he does best. 4 ring lights with Kanika right in between showcases production to its specificity. It’s a pleasure to see Lyan in the frame as well as we barely get to see him as he’s produced some dope tracks in the recent past. See Whether it’s Arif Lohar or cocktail with Saif and Deepika or back to Kanika Kapoor Jugni lives and that’s how we want it to be. We give Kanika Kapoor – Jugni 2.0 feat. 4. Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe | Euphoria | Palash Sen

This is the intro video we want to see. Slightly dirty mirror. Kone me Shiv Ji ka photo and the proper Band Baja Vaali Vardi. And the bhains providing that ultimate side actor nomination. This is indie-pop. This is genuine indie-pop. Again the actual track starts at 3:35 as Palash Sen mentions “kaam chahiye tha Khairaat Nahin” and he portrays the reality of the industry at this time of day where respect is provided to the DJ or the PUNJABI singer but it is what it is. A green bench and creativity galore – SA RE GA MA and Palash Sen definitely bring Euphoria back. “Asta la vista biwi” We give Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe – 4 winks Watch the video on SAREGAMA’s official Youtube channel!

5. The Anil Kapoor Diss Track | Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya & Anurag Kashyap | AK vs AK

The movie may be confusing but this track is absolutely on point. Anurag Kashyap may have just found a new career path as a rapper and the AIB clan is as good as ever!
