Mahira Khan Ups Her Game As Producer Of Upcoming Web Series ‘Baarwan Khiladi’

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is getting more and more versatile over the years. She started her career as a VJ, then a fashion model, and then became an actor. She has starred in a number of TV shows and films, and also made her way to Bollywood. The “Superstar” actress also owns the popular website Mashion, which is ‘the go-to destination for the new age Pakistani woman to get her daily dose on anything and everything she cares about.’ Besides all the fame and fan following that the actor gained over the years even across the border, Mahira Khan now has another good news for all her fans. She is now officially stepping into the field of filmmaking. 

Khan announced her production venture SoulFry Films with co-producer Nina Kashif, on Instagram, saying that there’s always a story behind everything, and she carries a lot of enthusiasm for stories whether it’s about hearing or telling them. She also expressed her nervousness and excitement at sharing her first venture into production with all of her fans.

‘Baarwan Khiladi’ will be the very first project from the “Verna” actress’ production label. It will also be Tapmad’s first originally produced web series written by Shahid Dogar and directed by Adnan Sarwar who has also made sports-based films including “Motorcycle Girl” previously.

The series is set against the backdrop of cricket. As the story revolves around Pakistan’s most played sport, this project has high expectations. It’s a story about friendships, relationships, unity, failure, success, love, and courage. 

Danyal Zafar, one of the new emerging talents in the music and acting industry and the younger brother of the famous actor/singer Ali Zafar, will be playing a lead role in the series. Meanwhile, the remaining cast of this much-awaited digital project also includes Kinza Hashmi, Shahveer Jaffry, Zarrar Khan, Meer Yousuf, Mira Sethi, and Khaqan Shahnawaz. 

Mahira Khan also shared a poster of the web series where a couple of players can be seen in their jerseys.

The most common misconception about female actresses is that their screen life is short and that it diminishes with age. But regardless of all these delusions and misthoughts everyone in the entertainment industry has their own time and era to rise and fall in this game of fame. Mahira Khan in this context, seems to have given her options a thought and now precisely knows what she wants to do in the future.
