We have five latest music videos from the world of Bollywood, Urban Desi, Punjabi, and the overall global South Asian independent scene all creatively curated just for you by our host Monty Kataria.
1. ‘Nain Bengali’ – Guru Randhawa
The track is called ‘Nain Bengali’ but does not have a single glimpse of Bengal, Bengali, or a Bangladeshi person. The track does not really impress as the video also just features a skin show. The music is also not that great.
2. Man Down – Anik Khan, NISH, DJ Lyan
Guru Randhawa should definitely check out Anik Khan’s stuff. Anik Khan is a massive come up overall, not just an immigrant story but an artist’s story. This individual is creative to be frank. Check out Ani Khan’s Man Down right now featuring Nish, the man from UK is actually rapping. We won’t tell you much but want to you watch and understand. If you don’t understand the American immigrant story, then watch this track again. It has an amazing production. Check out Man Down from Denied EP on Ani Khan’s YouTube.
Jalebi Baby – @tesherrrr x @jasonderulo
If you have not heard of Tesher or Jason Derulo, you check them out right now. This video came about 8 months ago, but the video released a week ago and it is trending across on TikTok already. It trending on all the short-video platforms and has got some amazing prop placements as well. It has Zomato and Lyft as well, so its Indian, American and global at the same time. Jason Derulo and Tesher doing bhangra in the end just makes me feel so joyous. It’s a massive collaboration for not just Asians but music in general.
Shining- @raxstaruk x @rimshox
Raxstar is one of my our favourite rap stars and we won’t be biased. Rock music always sounds the same, and a lot of people have said the same thing about this track as well. But if you listen to the track first and pay attention to the lyrics, the words and bars match to each other. Listen to Shining first and then watch the video, the whole boxing vibe will connect with you.

Not competent enough to sit idle and stare as the world goes by, Pallavi is optimistic to a fault and believes in building her world on her own rather than depending on others to make things right.
