1. Chaka Chak – Atrangi Re

Shreya Ghoshal on the vocals, AR Rahman with the music, the tracks features Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar from the film “Atrangi Re.” We don’t want to talk much about the film but this track is Bollywood coming back. There is inspiration from Madhuri Dixit’s track ‘Badi Mushkil’. But this song has a very beautiful new vibe and we like it. Everyone is giving it positive reviews because it is not really a remake and it literally has Sara Ali Khan in her vibe.

2. Nai Chaidi – The PropheC

To be honest, all our Urban Desi artists work great but the music and the songs can seem repetitive, it is not because of who they are and what they do. It is also because of the market whether its Arjun, Raxstar, Mickey Singh a lot of the music can be semi-repetitive. But right now, The PropheC has broken away from that and this song is different. It is a senti track but not him confessing his love but that I don’t need you anymore. The music video has great locations, decent budget and huge homes that’s all videos needs these days. But PropheC’s talent overcompensates for the video.

3. Aashiq Mud Na Jaawe – Akhil

We love Akhil back in the days, those heartless songs in the little cafes, doing all those things… but now it is the same thing again and again. Just because you can go to the mountains, wear colourful clothing, be in a cafe arm wrestled to win a girl, that’s the 1700s. Overall ‘Aashiq Mud Na Jaave’ is not even recycled, it’s the same thing that we have seen before. Adah Sharma looks pretty but the wardrobe, locations and everything in this is just not impressive.

4. Shehzaada Shezaadi – Ankur Tewari

You can relate to them, you can mould into them and put your entire self and soul into these animated characters in the video. It is such a beautiful song based on a fictional couple’s love story and it is cute. A flying unicorn is what you should watch out for and only thing we missed is the complete heart towards the end of the video. It is a very good song and you should watch it.

5. Goat Dekho – Raftaar

Raftaar is dope, one of the biggest Desi HipHop acts we have and has given global representation to Desi HipHop. But this particular song, we wish we could just be watching video of goats instead. If you don’t know GOAT is, it means the Greatest of All Time. Overall, as an audience, there needs to be some sort of change. This track has good lyrics and if you don’t understand it you can watch it on the subtitles.
