DissDash presents Tune-in-Tuesdays with @MontyIsLive | Episode 47
We have 5 latest music videos from the world of Bollywood, Urban Desi, Punjabi, and the overall global South Asian independent scene all creatively curated just for you!
1. Pyar Wandna – Bushra Ansari and Rup Magon
Bushra Iqbal is a Pakistani actress, comedian, singer and playwright who started career as a child performer. Rupinder Magon is a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer and actor. ‘Pyar Wandna’ is not any other Bhangra track. It is folk, love and fun and it is 100% bridge in the music. We generally compare Kashmir Beats to Coke Studio, but their latest season as phenomenal as it is, Kashmir Beats genuinely fills that unspoken void.
2. Lion Heart – Kshmr x Lit Killah x Divine x Jeremy Oceans x Karra
Kshmr is an Indian-American musician, producer with his latest Dharma Studios through which he teaches music production, one of the best in the game. Here he tries that with Bombay’s Divine, Germany’s Jeremy Oceans, America’s Cara and Argentina’s Lit Killah. This is a genuine and truly global collaboration. Divine feels a little out of place in this combination, just overall his presentation. He seems as if he is there and not there at the same time. Kshmr absolutely smashes it with Lit Killah is our favourite. This is just the beginning for many more global collaborations.
3. VIP – Raj Ranjodh Ft. Diljit Dosanjh
Trolley is the back of your truck/tractor, throw in some water in there and we got a jacuzzi. That’s the concept of this song. We don’t mind it but when you hear it out loud, it just not so cool. Raj Ranjoth has written all the lyrics for Diljit’s album ‘Moonchild Era’ and while we have liked the other tracks, ‘VIP’ is a miss. We don’t like the models, the snow, the horse, none of it. In terms of a promo track, which it is, and getting together Raj the VIP, Diljit and the crew does a great job, but that is it.
4. Wakh Ho Jana – “Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal”
We have an outtake for Punjabi songs from movies but overall this song is a title from a song, and now it is a movie. Gurnam Bhullar smashes everything – he does the composition, the lyrics, he sung the song and also the music. Sonam Bajwa does not look like a great actress. Only the lyrics work for us.
5. Senõrita – Pav Dharia | Rohit Negah
Directed by Rohit Nega, we say it because he gets the extra shout out. You definitely need to check Pav Dharia out if you don’t know about him. Australian Punjabi kills and experiments with every single track, even it does not seem like its possible, he does. The pronunciations are on point as they should be. Dharia plays not one but three characters in this song.

Not competent enough to sit idle and stare as the world goes by, Pallavi is optimistic to a fault and believes in building her world on her own rather than depending on others to make things right.
