YouTuber turned actress and host Liza Koshy can now add judge to her resume! The stunning and talented young star has been roped in as a judge for NBC’s latest reality show, “Dancing with Myself.”
Although most of us know Koshy from her hilarious YouTube videos with her dramatic expressions, outrageous characters, and unique form of comedy, she’s also a trained dancer. Koshy has been dancing since she was 4-years-old and is trained in ballet, jazz, and tap. She was on the drill and dance team in high school and was even captain of her dance team in school. Though we’ve caught glimpses of her dancing on social media, she really showed off her skills in the Netflix dance film, “Work It.”
Koshy was originally set to judge “Dancing with Myself” alongside international rockstar Shakira and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. However, it seems that due to technical issues O’Neal had to leave the show and Nick Jonas was recently announced as his replacement. The show will be hosted by host and actress Camille Kostek.
So… what exactly is “Dancing with Myself” about?
The dance series will have a group of everyday people competing each week in high-energy dance challenges. The challenges are designed and demonstrated by the shows celebrity creators and contestants have isolated pods where they have a short time to learn their routines. The contestants are free to add their own unique flair and then perform in front of not only the judges but a studio audience. The judges will provide instant feedback and choose their favorites to advance along with some audience picks. Ultimately the studio audience will select the best dancer of the night who gets to take home a cash prize.
“Dancing With Myself” is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio and Irwin Entertainment. It is executive produced by Tina Nicotera Bachman, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Jaime Levine, and Shakira.
