We have 5 latest music videos from the world of Bollywood, Urban Desi, Punjabi, and the overall global South Asian independent scene all creatively curated just for you!

1) ‘Gangsta’ – Karan Aujla Ft. YG, Rupan Bal, Yeah Proof

This new proper placement of international acts along popular and hitmaker brown acts is becoming quite the rage these days and for all the right reasons. We provide numbers, we are talented and our fanbase is loyal. Besides, it all makes sense. It was inevitable and this is just the beginning. 32-year Californian YG is not new to the game at all. Rupan Bal as the director has proved himself once again in a short span of career behind the lens. This is definitely a track for today.

2) ‘Amaretto Sour’ – Hashky

Peshawar Pakistan born and Peth, Australia-bred South Asian rapper Hashky is all about beginning the Australian South Asian music scene and that too with positive influences and powerful intent. A huge push is what we need in this particular scene and upcoming acts like Hashky pushing consistent content is what the scene requires alongside push from the marketing media world. This video is nothing short of a mob flick and we are definitely vibing with the overall sound. Vision on the production from Delhi, India has an ear for international appeal yet keeping it real from wherever he is from.

3) ‘Third Eye Freeverse’ – Hanumankind

We shared a video from 64 Bars last week as well and we simply can’t get enough. The producer Karan Kanchan from Gully Gang has the knack of getting the best out on the mic especially when its raw. And this time around with Hanumankind, originally from Kerala, moved to Texas and is now in Bengaluru since 2016. With fiery flow, independent vibe, this guy definitely stands out. Listen to the lyrics of the track as well. Big up to 64 Bars for bringing together some of the best artists.

4) ‘Khoya’ – Siddhant Bhonsle, Sukriti Kakkar

Indi Pop is another genre that is slowly in its own way finding its viewership back. Their presence is coming back into the music industry. ‘Khoya’ by Mumbai-born singer Siddhant Bhosle and Delhi-born singer Sukriti Kakar who rose to fame really quickly. The ‘Kar Gayi Chul’ girl has released a bunch of other non-filmy songs with Sony Music, Tseries and Khoya does justice like all the others. It is the perfect recipe for Indian pop or non-film track, it has bop, flows with us today and just as the description suggests, it highlights different personalities of two lovers with instant attraction. Wish the video had a tad bit more, like a short cute love story attached to it, it would had worked more, at least for us.

5) ‘Tu Hai Mera’ – Madhuri Dixit Nene

Active in the Hindi film industry, she has films named after her. One of the most respected Hindi film actresses, judged some of the biggest reality shows, made comeback and is now an established singer. ‘Tu Hai Mera’ is her second official musical release and this particular track is written and produced by herself and Raja Kumari. As the description suggests its a dedication to all of her fans, as she utilises her social media, hashtags everything together. The video is her going live and singing while other influencers are standing behind with ring lights, doing their thing. We are trying to like this track given its Madhuri, but there is something about it that we can’t get to accept. We will let you guys be the judge of it. Let us know what you think.
