Can’t Wait! Armaan Malik Ed Sheeran Collab ‘2Step’ Coming Out Tomorrow


Armaan Malik made a surprise announcement today as he revealed that he has collaborated with English singer Ed Sheeran on his new song ‘2Step,’ which is due to release on Tuesday. The song’s original version was released in October 2021 as part of Ed Sheeran’s album ‘Equal.’ The second version featuring Malik summarizes the trials and tribulations of an artist’s life and journey.
He took to his social media accounts to share the poster of ‘2Step,’ which features a butterfly against an orange backdrop. The poster also read, “Ed Sheeran- 2Step (feat. Armaan Malik).” Malik captioned the picture, “Out tomorrow,” adding a butterfly and a red heart emoji and tagged Ed Sheeran.
This will mark the second international collaboration for Armaan Malik, who had previously featured on the 2021 song ‘Echo’ with K-pop star Eric Nam and American music producer KSHMR. Several of his friends from the music industry congratulated him on his collaboration with Ed, and singer Akasa Singh even said that he is making a name for India with his international collaborations. She wrote, “DAMN, putting India on the map. Killing it, @armaanmalik so proud.”
The singer’s brother, singer Amaal Mallik, commented, “What a song can’t wait…Big moves.” Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi commented heart-eyes emoji, while Tara Sutaria, wrote, “Mad proud of you always.”
Meanwhile, Armaan Malik spoke to Rolling Stone about his collaboration with Ed Sheeran. He said, “I’m beyond excited to be featured on this version of ‘2Step’ with Ed Sheeran! He’s always been such an inspiration, and I’m a big fan of his music and incredible songwriting. This is a huge moment not only for me but also for other Indian artists too. I genuinely believe that this will be the beginning for a lot more collaborations of this nature.”
