We have 5 latest music videos from the world of Bollywood, Urban Desi, Punjabi, and the overall global South Asian independent scene all creatively curated just for you!
1. ‘Oouuu’ – Karan Aujla, Rupan Bal, Yeah Proof
That brand new Karan Aujla vibe is here and with every new video of Mr Aujla and Co. including Rupan Bal, Rehaan Records and ofcourse the man behind the music Yeah Proof are stepping it up every time. This time they take it up a notch with the video and its post-production. Snow-capped mountains, snowmobiles, trains, choreo all on point. The performance shots are beautifully edited. Karan Aujla is a lyrical and melodic genius
2. ‘Sanki’ – Ikka, Raga, Aghor, Seedhe Maut, Sez on the Beat, Vaksh Vimal, Nishu
Dehi rapper Ikka just dropped a brand new full-length studio album entitled ‘Nishu’ and it is all that a desi hip-hop connoisseur can ask for. This particular track ‘Sanki’ has it all – flow, hip hop, lyrics and a feature list stronger than your average. We have Raga, Aghor, Seedhe Maut and produced by the main machine Sez on the Beat. The song is an anthem without a doubt and it makes you chant ‘Sanki’ by the end of it.
3. ‘La La Love’ – Elnaaz Norouzi
Born in Tehran, an Indian film actress and now a singer as well. You might have noticed her in India’s first Netflix original Sacred Games alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui and in “Hello Charlie” as well. Elnaaz can also be seen in Guru Randhawa’s ‘Made in India’ but ‘La La Love’ is herself as a vocalist. She looks lovely as she sings the track, that she has written and composed as well. We would’ve loved to see a bit more choreo on the video but the track is a banger.
4. Sidhu Moosewala Tribute, Legends Never Die – AR Paisley
Paisley is one of our favourite rappers out there. Respect to this man, he goes hard, his flow is clear and his vision is for longevity. This tribute to Sidhu Moosewala makes you think, it makes you ponder on life decisions, family and friends. You must check this out for sure.
5. ‘Freestyle’ – Jordan Sandhu
As long as you are listening to this track, it bumps. But as soon as you play the video, it reminds us of only one thing Jordan Sandhu and his ‘Happy Birthday’ song. ‘Freestyle’ is a dop audio track of new wave music is a part of this. The video is not cringed or is awkward, it’s just funny. Jordan is not really pulling off the swag, the model looks out of place including all the perfectly placed colored individuals.
