House of Parishae | Summer-Spring Collection | New York

Designer Parishae Adnan unveiled her collection of couture and ready-to-wear for SS 23 (Spring-Summer 2023) in New York City on the lower east side at the Skinny Bar and Lounge. The solo show comprised of 15 looks.

The brand stands for sustainability, beauty, empowerment, and expression of self. It creates designs that are flattering yet functional, sculpted around all body types, and tailored to perfection. Bold, power-clothing that denotes strength. The collection named “Anatomy of Power”, showcased how the nuances of structure and silhouette play a role in defining power and the relevance of the struggle today. Keeping the need for sustainability and green living at the forefront, Parishae’s brand ideology revolves around the concept of zero-waste, circular fashion. The collection’s fabrication uses upcycled textiles and a soft color palette to depict the fluidity around harnessing and holding “power”.

The look for the models was brought to life by New York’s finest team of MUAs and Hairstylists: The Makeup Society New York @makeupsocietynewyork.

“There is a difference between rules and tradition, one must be extremely well-versed in the rules before attempting to break or bend them. Fashion today is rigid and a little biased. The goal is to be able to push past the boundaries of the society while maintaining the tradition.” – Parishae Adnan “I firmly believe in the right to freedom of expression – I do not believe that anyone can be happy when trying to please other people. I aim to push social norms and barriers in a beautiful way, rather than just doing it to be disruptive.” – Parishae Adnan
