Day one of The Desi Dance Fest 2.0 kicked off with a spectacular bang, thanks to Jainil Mehta’s contemporary dance workshop! 🌟
Jainil Mehta, a proud BFA graduate from the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance with a Discovery Scholars Distinction, brought his exceptional talent to our festival. He’s not just a dancer; he’s an artist who’s learned and performed works by renowned choreographers like William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Jodie Gates, Barak Marshall, Alejandro Cerrudo, Dwight Rhoden, and Matthew Neenan. 🩰
As a former company member at Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, Jainil’s passion and skill shine through every move. With a current Instagram following of over 300K, he’s breaking barriers with the #Meninskirts movement, challenging traditional gender categorizations. 💪
