Activist and actress Jameela Jamil is reportedly Marvel’s next villain, Titania. Per the Hollywood Reporter, “The Good Place” star will be starring in Disney+’s upcoming “She-Hulk” show.
The show’s lead, Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) is played by Tatiana Maslany and there will be appearances by Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk himself. The show also stars Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky, and Ginger Gonzaga as Walters’ closest friend. Jessica Gao is the head writer and executive producer of the show, along with Kat Coiro who is the director and executive producer.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Marvel Universe, She-Hulk is the Hulk’s cousin Jennifer Walters. She transformed when her cousin Bruce Banner gave her a blood transfusion when she was hurt. Unlike, Banner she doesn’t shift from human to Hulk form but is always somewhere in between perpetually in a green state. She-Hulk is a strong, gorgeous, and witty fashionista. Titania is equally confident and powerful as She-Hulk’s rival and these tough women can take down any man.
Jamil is the perfect Titania, and here are the top three reasons why:
1.First off she’s definitely got the looks for the role. Titania is a tall gorgeous woman with long flowing (usually auburn) hair, check and check! Jameela Jamil physically fits the role perfectly.

2. Titania’s real name is Mary McPherran, she was bullied and an outcast as a child by her peers so she always wished to be someone else. It wasn’t until Dr. Doom recruited McPherran and her best friend, Marsha Rosenberg, to join his gang of supervillains that she transformed into a confident, gorgeous villain thanks to alien technology. Similarly, Jamil has also faced bullying in her youth and struggled with her appearance. She’s always been vocal about her struggles with anorexia as well. Jamil too has blossomed into a confident woman who is comfortable in her own skin (or at least trying to be). The real-life connection these characters have is sure to add depth to the role.

3. Jamil and Titania are confident, badass women who don’t take anyone’s shit. Just like Jamil has taken on big names in her activism from the Kardashians to big businesses, Titania has taken on She-Hulk, Spiderman, and the Fantastic Four. Titania’s strengths include super strength, super stamina, and fighting skills.

“She-Hulk” is set to release in 2022 on Disney Plus and join the already popular MCU shows on the streaming app, “WandaVision,” “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” and “Loki.” Upcoming shows in the MCU also include “Secret Invasion,” “Moon Knight”, “Hawkeye” and the MCU’s first Pakistani-American superhero, “Ms. Marvel.”
