In Hindi, the term kalakars means artists and they are the essence of the organization. Founded in the year 2014 by a small team of filmmakers, writers, and actors, it has identified the requirement for a collective workshop environment in order to sustain developing stories by South Asians in the US. They have a reliable gathering of dynamic members who normally share their industry insights every month, offering resources and expertise.

Within a short period of time, this exceedingly cooperative process has built up a steady team that is endeavoring to raise the measures of storytelling. Fractured Atlas backs ‘Kalakars’ financially. The founders of the venture are Vishesh Sharma, GiriMohan Coneti, and Pulkit Datta, and Kamran Khan, Lipica Shah, Ami Sheth, and Adeel Ahmed form the committee.
